Here is a place to share comments on the grant in general.

Nancy Bosch (NB) In my opinion there is too much emphasis in the overview on the "stuff" and not enough of a vision of how this will impact kids. All the talk about staff development is also the wrong direction unless the grant is for staff development. The grant reader doesn't care how the staff is going to be trained or what "stuff" is purchased, they just want to see how the monies will impact student learning, motivation and enthusiasm. (just my opinion)

(NB) Question: Will the district need new or updated storage facilities when kids start making all these videos?
(NB) Question: Could the grant target our ELL students (as a focus group) along with regular ed students? (video is used in many exceptional ELL programs across the country).
(NB) Question: Would there be some way that schools could apply to "house" the elementary materials (say for a year) so that staff and students would have access for long period of time? Checking out the materials for a week (or whatever the time limit is) isn't going to allow for a lot of long term projects. Software is going to have to be loaded on machines. Does the grant allow for all the software to be loaded in every building in every classroom so the computers would be "ready? Or will a computer loaded with the software travel with the cameras?
